Training Coordinator -Katie Beth McCarthy
Katie Beth McCarthy was the Director of a Child Advocacy Center in Tennessee for three years before moving to Montgomery. She received her Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law after earning Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Freed-Hardeman University.
Katie Beth’s past work experience includes working with mentally challenged adults, college students and small claims court mediations. Katie Beth has taught classes at Faulkner University and Alabama Christian Academy. She interned with One Place Family Justice Center, Tennessee’s Juvenile Court and Faulkner University’s Elder Law Clinic. She received her certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution, she facilitated and coordinated the MDT in Chester Co. Tennessee and received certification for Trauma-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Katie Beth has served on multiple non-profit, community boards such as Foster Care Review Board, Truancy Board, Pre-K Advisory Board and Family Resource Board, to name a few. She is experienced in non-profit fundraising and community development.
